The project started out as an inquiry into how the spaces we design, in turn design us back.
Working environments, which encompass physical, pedagogical, psychological and social dimensions, impact morale and productivity. By realising the impact we can create as humans > change makers > visual communicators > strategists, our project took a shift towards equipping learning environments to foster creativity which enhances individual wellbeing.
Through extensive research using strategic design thinking tools, and collaboration with stakeholders to understand how visual communication can influence this behaviour change, we were able to derive insights which shaped the systemic level intervention proposed - a toolkit that brings learners and educators together outside of the classroom to re-look at their roles.

Defining our Intention
At the intersections of wellbeing workspaces, accessibility, behavioural change, daily needs influenced by socio cultural- geopolitical + economic factors, we set out to understand the need for our space of work to be designed in a certain way.
︎ Researching the intersection of workspaces and well-being
Gauging wellbeing: Flow State
When you consider a space for creative output, it is highly personal and the quantifiable factors that affect it become less relevant. Thus the idea of being in a flow state as tool to measure environments was introduced.
Deriving insights
With NID, Ahmedabad as a case study, we interviewed our key stakeholders to understand their relationship with their workspaces, and what they seek. Interestingly we found a direct correlation between wellbeing and productivity.

Developing a strategy
Through co-creation and guided workshops we envision a reality where learning environments are able to transform and inspire. Strong social communities lead to healthier learning environments.
We propose a decentralised Initiative across institutions that brings interested learners and educators together to work towards a common goal of wellness.
